In Lilongwe, a Theatre for Development (TfD) session is currently underway as part of the Connect Malawi Plus project funded by VIIV Health Care, and it is being implemented in the city by YONECO.
This initiative aims to utilize TfD training as a tool to engage young people and communities, addressing rising HIV rates and limited access to Youth-Friendly Health Services (YFHS), particularly among hard-to-reach adolescents and young women (AGYWs).
Participants, selected from youth clubs from the areas of Traditional Authority (T/As) Tsabango and Chitukula, are actively involved in drills.
The training, which began on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, is being conducted concurrently at Kafulu Primary School and Kawale Health Centre, with a total of 45 participants.
Scheduled to conclude tomorrow, this initiative signifies a proactive effort to upscale peer-led actions and empower individuals to make a positive impact within their communities.
